Rain was intermittent the day after our excursion to New Idria Road, so we looked around Hollister for a while. There’s a lot of good public art on an near San Benito Street.
Well, here’s one place that could do with a mural or two.
Next stop: San Juan Bautista.
Among the displays in the museum at Mission San Juan Bautista is a case of memorabilia from the 1958 Alfred Hitchcock film Vertigo, in which the mission and its grounds were featured prominently. Here we see a poster of Kim Novak and Jimmy Stewart smooching beside, um, a death mask of the director?
