Quick Trip to Seattle

My wife and I made a short visit to Seattle in early September to help our son, Peter (a theater major), move into his new dorm at Cornish College of the Arts. There wasn’t much time for photography — but here are some things that caught my eye (and that of my iPhone) . . .

Mt. Shasta

Mount Shasta, shrouded in smoke from wildland fires in northern California and southern Oregon.

Mount McLoughlin

Mount McLoughlin, in the southern Cascade range, southwest of Crater lake,  casting its morning shadow across the forest.

At the Seattle Art Museum.

There’s a building boom happening in the area we visited, near Denny Way.

A food truck seen along 8th Avenue. That’s Cornish Commons — new student housing at Cornish College of the Arts — in the background, with the yellow stripe.

Public art on Westlake Avenue at Whole Foods Market.
