Solargraphy Project: 8 Weeks near Davis

Here’s an 8-week exposure of the setting sun and some valley oaks near Davis, California. This was taken with a home-crafted pinhole camera, the 1-quart paint can model, loaded with Ilford Multigrade FB paper. The exposure ran from April 26 to June 21 (summer solstice!), 2014. The paint cans I use lack viewfinders, so my aim was a little too far south with this one. Maybe one of the 3 new devices I installed last weekend will be more on target. We’ll find out in a few months.
