Needles

I love the Mojave Desert. I don’t get there often enough. Last weekend I crossed it twice — far too quickly, though — on a short trip to Prescott, Arizona. We spent one night in the town of Needles going, then another on the way back. I wasn’t there for long, so I could be wrong, but I got the impression that Needles looks better through Hipstamatic (the iPhone app) than it does in “reality”.

The same goes for Kramer Junction, a middle-of-the-desert crossroads with gas stations, truck stops, fast food, and lots of power lines.
