Buckland Station

Buckland Station is a historic roadhouse, ranch, and Pony Express stop settled in 1859 along the Carson River in western Nevada. It is now part of Fort Churchill State Historic Park. It’s worth a visit to tour the restored roadhouse, picnic at the old ranch across the road, and maybe stroll down to the river.

With these photos I’m trying out a way of displaying images here in my WordPress blog that I haven’t used before: the “carousel” slide show. Click on one of the thumbnails below to start the slideshow, use your keyboard’s right arrow key to advance through the images, then hit the ESC (Escape) key to exit the slideshow.
