Night photography with light painting is best practiced either in very small or very dispersed groups. With too many people together, you may end up photographing other photographers, their head lamps, and their light painting. That’s what happened here, early during our visit to South Tufa at Mono Lake. It’s not what I intended, but I like the results anyway.
