Inside the Pottery (again)

Factories are supposed to be noisy, hot, bustling places, and Gladding, McBean must surely be busy through most of the work-week.  But I’ve been there (three times, now) only on the weekend, when the workers are few. Even with 30 photographers milling around, the place is so big that you can be completely alone for quite a while.  Alone with a dusty old wall, a pallet of drying pipes, or a pile of burlap sacks — just that and your image-making tools. What a treat!
