Modern Architecture at U.C. Davis

On a recent cold, clear January morning, I strolled around the Social Sciences and Humanities Building at UC Davis. This amazing structure was designed by Antoine Predock and built in 1994. The outer walls of the higher sections are clad in metal; many of the lower walls are of poured concrete. The building is very sculptural, with interesting shapes, textures, and lighting at every turn. CLICK HERE to see this  series of photos.
