Weed Heights is the company town built by Anaconda right next to the copper mine near Yerington, Nevada. My impression, from one brief visit, is that it’s a pretty quiet community now, no longer focused on activities at the pit. There’s a spacious RV park, a few small businesses, and 150 or so modest homes. Weed Heights even calls itself “A Hidden Community“.
But there are some visual treats here, like DJ’s Tee Off (the miniature golf course). And there are surely some interesting stories to be found here — that would make a good photographic project.
